Kodiak Defense WR762 and CZ858 photo comparison

I was too until I saw all that ugly engraving and Maple leafs everywhere.
Who needs a UN marking stamp when they have it plastered all over these rifles.

Next ..... no thank you.

I hope all you guys enjoy them and they turn out to be strong and reliable for you all.
Just not my taste is all.

think the pics make them show up much more than they actually do can hardly see them on mine

They have some real nice wood furniture that doesn't have maple leafs in it. Go to Wolverines site. I'm not crazy about the leaf either.

I know this is an older thread but I can't seem to find exactly what I'm looking for. Just trying to compare quality of cz858 to wr762, I've read theres a few of the kodiaks with cz 19" barrels would they be better than the 18.5" Canadian barrel or just try to acquire a cz858? Thanks for everyones help!

All rounds seated fully back in the mags? No bullet tips touching the mags?

Yes I managed to load the mags properly. The rifle fed rounds into the chamber without issue. The stoppage would occur always with a live round in the chamber. The issue is that as the bolt operated the striker would not be locked back, and it would travel forward with the bolt. Thus leaving a round in the chamber with no trigger. Classic gremlin.

Yes Gremlins indeed.

There are a few professional gremlin slayers on this forum, perhaps they will chime in. Especially if the overkill tabbed bolt method is mentioned.

I asked Kodiak why they didn't tab the bolts and they said that CSA had a patent on that cure which surprised me. They said that they chose to make the disconnector(I think that's what's it called) a bit longer.
One thing I noticed on the Kodiak I looked at is there seems to be nothing that holds the safety lever in place. Unlike the CZ which has a set screw that mates with a groove in the safety levers shaft, there is nothing like that on the Kodiak and the unit I inspected was loose enough that the safety would drift out a bit and ride over top of the posts that protrude from the side of the receiver and are meant to stop the travel of the safety from going past safe.
The circlips are definitely not as secure as the locking tab that CZ uses to keep the trigger and sear pins in place.

Got a big gremlin in mine. Sent it back to Kodiak through wolverine. Make sure you contact them. When i first mentioned it they were surprised the kodiaks had gremlins. They need to know its becoming a trend.

Hoping when they ship it back its fixed. Ive only shot 200 rounds and a dozen instances of no fire. Longest without issue about 30 rounds...other times every 3 or 4 shots it stops.
