Korean M1 Garands green light.

The M1 Garands the CMP is selling were RETURNED to the U.S. Government, having been on loan to Greece etc. Those are allowed in under their laws. One of the big hang-ups for the Korean Garands was that if they were PURCHASED, they would not be allowed back into the U.S.A. due to the U.S. laws. This latest announcement indicates that they have found a way around this problem. As for me, I am looking for an M1C sniper rifle. :)

so can we not get a deal in motion to start getting one of these fine machines, that ever so pleasingly pings in the great white north? Its not like they aren't arriving tomorrow, so lets get a chunk of them right off the bat when they do make land.

Fine machines???

We still don't know condition. These are well used rifles, not new in cosmoline unfired examples. "Fine" may not be the right term once the dust settles.

Tagged for interest and I would gladly take two of these for that price.

They MIGHT sell for as low as $220 USD!!!

That comes to $300 CDN with taxes...before import/shipping fees and profit for the importers.

IF these are not total POS guns and IF they come to Canada...I highlyyy doubt we will seem them under $700 before taxes/shipping!!!

I would gladly eat my words but i can't see them coming in at anywhere near $220, considering an op rod is close to that price nowadays.

nope I can bet that's the buying price over there add shipping and overhead(employees, keeping the lights on, ect) I can bet it would be about $700-$900 on our end
