I recently got the 1-4x version. The quality of glass seems about the same as the other Elites I have (3500s). One thing I really like is that the eye relief is pretty long as advertised, about 4" or more. With a side by side comparison with both set to 2x, the eye relief is about the same as my Leupold VX-5 2-10. As advertised the Leupold eye relief is 3.7" and the Bushnell is 4.4"... so maybe Leupold is under-promising and Bushnell is over-promising in this case. But anyway, it's still good eye relief on the new 4500. I'm just using it on a .223 so it's not critical to have long eye relief, but I like it.
If the 2.5-10x is anything like the 1-4x, it's an excellent scope especially for the money.
