FWIW, I bought several $200 M1's from the now-defunct Districorp in 2001 or so, so they were still dirt cheap 9 years ago![]()

Looks like the ATF has doing some serious homework on the issue . Chatter indicates that the following position paper was leaked just before a scheduled congressional hearing on the BATFE Reform and Modernization Bill. The hearing was postponed.
