Just read an article in Special Weapons on the new Korstog Var rifle. Seems like a pretty neat AR, the guy who tested it seemed to like it. As I understand parts may be a little more expensive to replace though. Can we get these up here? Anyone have any experience with them?

It looks like just a nice dressed up AR. Seems to have quality parts, but nothing new or amazing. Nothing they put in the rifles are exclusive to that rifle, just off the shelf parts.

Seems like a DI version of an Adams Arms rifle - melonite coated - check, samson evo rail - check, adams arms carrier - check, pinned FH - check.

I just read that article, I didn't see any mention of the so call "Top End" features other than the JP trigger and Unbrako setscrews . The special mention of the middle length gas system was kind of weird, lot of companies offer the mid length option, so they are not doing anything ground breaking here. Other than a $15 gas tube which is readily available, all other parts are compatible with all other length systems. 0.7 MOA is easily achievable with most name brand AR from the bench, especially when you are shooting $2 a pop match ammo. All the features on this rifle are made by other companies, so there really isn't anything make it stand from other mid priced companies like Stag, Daniel Defense or Rock River.

It is probably a very decent rifle, just the writer of the article looks like he was trying to find words to fill the space, there is just not enough in that article make me want to go out of my way to buy one of these rifles. :p
