Korth/Colt Canada Resolution?

I've asked CC if the IOP is available to retired members with no answer, so I guess I'll ask here...or maybe I need to email Korth?
I'm betting the question has already been asked and the answer is 'no'.

so what is the purpose of only offering the discount to those individuals if they are not to be used on duty for public safety?

Perk for LEO/MIL.....they get an occupation discount. Much more common in the US....it's out of respect for the folks that keep us safe. Not much of that here in Canada so I'm glad to see Korths offering is significant savings.

Colt Canada's website makes it pretty clear: Currently on duty only.

How much money are we talking about here? 3 or 4 hundred bucks? I've bought many things over the years and its kind of the way it is.
Bought a new PS3 for $600 or more and 8 months later they are $300. Bought my new F350 and 6 months later its 8 grand cheaper!
Its life. Early adopters pay the premium. Always have and always will.

Tend to agree. If you don't want to pay a premium, don't camp out in front of the store waiting for the product.

Question for the people wanting a refund...if the price had shot up $400, how many of you would be back at the store offering more money to send in to Korth?

I have no problem with LE/Mil discounts.
Companies are free to give discounts to whomever they wish.

On the other hand I find it in poor taste to be asking for a discount just because the price dropped regardless of the difference.
You were willing to pay that price at the time and nobody was putting a gun to your head.
It is the same as trying to get the sale price after tha sale is over.

Many manufacturers and dealers do it to try and woo business. Maybe the thinking is member familiarity with the specific product may increase the likelihood of lucrative Agency sales in future.

Agreed. I ponied up on my own for the original price because I wanted the rifle. I did get exactly what I paid for BUT....If I had known waiting 6 weeks would have saved me $3-400 I would have been quite content to wait. I didn't get mine for bragging rights or an urge to be "FIRST." I bought it because I wanted a Diemaco. Korth took advantage of that fact.

I don't have much choice but to accept the situation and I am not crying about it....but I don't have to be happy about it.
The rifle I like, I've shot it a bunch and competed with it in several matches already. The premium I paid for having the rifle 6 weeks before a major price drop not so much. Let's just say I am not eager to make future purchases for products distributed by Korth.

C'mon Mis - you're WAY to smart to ask that question as you know full well that's not how that game is played!!

Korth is looking at what they can do for MIL/LEO that purchased before the program was released, but again, that is a question best directed to Korth for those that are eligible.[/QUOTE]

Colt Canada told Korth to give us a discount !!!!! Since they felt is was something they wanted to do. Lots of Ex Mil members at Colt Canada also......

Brian46 you've been added to my ignore list.... You obviously dont get it....
