Here I am flipping through a recently purchaced gun magazine and I was scrolling through the section where it shows various models from various manufacturer checking out some specs and prices where I come across a pistol that didnt look like any ive seen before. I then looked at the price and almost sh*t myself. 7000-9000$ for this pistol. ( The only other NEW pistols that i thought had such ridiculous price tags were either Les Baer 1911's or highly decorated/engraved S&W models)

Anyway, the company is called Korth. Ive checked out their website and they seem to make revolvers as well as semi-autos. Their semi's have a look that would seem to be a cross between Walther/CZ/Beretta/Magnum Research . Very beautiful looking peice for sure. They claim to cater to the rich folks, high ranking military personel, sophisticated class ..... etc.. Reading their companies "motto", they almost came off snobbish :jerkit:

I have never seen or even heard of them before. I was curious if maybe someone like Strangeday or Ardent, or anyone on this forum, actually owns one of these pistols. I would be very interested in hearing ones opinion on these incredibly expensive peices. Maybe some of you have had the chance to try one out ? Im very intriged on what kind performance you get from a pistol with a price Tag of 9000$ !!

Cheers,

Rob

Back in the '70's Korth, I believe a German manufacturer, produced a high end .357 revolver, similar in look to a 686. I haven't seen any recent offerings, but then I'm not in that income range.

I've handled one of the revolvers (about thirty years ago), but never owned or even fired one. It was very nice with quite a glassy action, but nothing that any good gunsmith couldn't have done. I was as impressed as I would have been with any well-worked revolver, but hardly as much as the price tag would have suggested. I think they're simply guns that people buy to impress with price. That gun had a couple of bells and whistles not usually found, but other than price there's nothing really remarkable about them.

I knew someone who had one a number of years ago.
Supposedly everything in their guns are hand fitted & polished etc. The action was the smoothest I had ever felt but was it worth the money ?

Limited quantity made & sold equals high costs. Is a Rolls Royce etc worth what they sell for ?? To some I assume they are.
