I have an older Kowa 11-33x variable power scope with a 60mm objective lens. Rubber black body and focusing is accomplished by rotating the main body of the scope. The glass is excellent and I haven't found anything available new which even compares to it.
At times I am looking for a bit more power, (magnification) and can find nothing to extend the range. So, I have ordered a Barlow 2X "doubler" lens for it to try to squeeze more range out of it.
Just wondering if anyone has tried the same thing and am open to suggestions. I will keep the forum informed about my success or failure with this project. Thanks for your interest.

Well, the Barlow doubler didn't work. Thread size was close but not close enough. I have decided that a new spotting scope is in the future. Not sure what kind yet but now I am searching. Hope this helps anyone who experiences the same scenario in the future.

Nothing currently made by Kowa fits this model. And they do not make an adapter to use new eyepieces on this model. I am just stuck with older technology and while the scope still works perfectly, I am just wanting more power in a spotter. Haven't found anything that fits made by any other manufacturer.
Thanks for your input

Something for you to possibly consider if you have or are planning to get a smart phone is to purchase a fairly inexpensive adapter, such a phoneskope, just google them, to allow you to use the zoom feature of your phone and the high quality of today's screens to get more magnification. They are easy to put on, stay on well unless jostled a lot and allow you to keep your eyes away from the scope eyepiece and close to your rifle. I assume this is for shooting and if your shooting line is covered there shouldn't be too much glare.
I have just moved up from a run of the mill 60 to a very nice 85 and look forward to receiving my phone adapter. I use my scope on the range but more for birding where the phone and adapter can take great pictures or video, a real bonus!
Hope this helps.
PM me if you have questions. You can try get an idea of what is like by hand holding your phone to your eyepiece with a little effort you should get an idea of what it would be like with an adapter. A friend has become very adept at hand held bird photos with his phone

Which model?
I find it hard to believe that no other eyepiece be available for it.

As far as "new" spotting scope, you might want to look into something that accept standard 1.25” eyepiece, like a Pentax ED or Celestron Regal (if you'd don't want to break the bank)
