I'm thinking of getting a KPOS for the Glock 17
Does anyone have any experience with them? Online reviews seem to say they fit loose. Any experience with the gen 1 or gen 2 would be helpful.

Thanks

I had one for a Glock 17 gen4. I believe it's the most fun one can have with their clothes on. Well....maybe not that fun. But it was really fun plinking with a 9mm out to 200m. It sure is a head turner. Everytime I took it to the range, I had lots of people come up and ask just what it was. A lot of people wanted to try it out. You'll be the most popular guy at the range.

I put a red-dot on mine and after I zeroed it in at 50m, I could plink steel out to 200m. I also had a single point sling that I used to let it dangle under my right armpit. I was thinking about maybe trying it out in competition. I'm not sure if that's allowed though.

It will get pretty dirty. The last time I took it to the range, I shot almost 500 rounds. I say, go for it. It really brings a new dimension to pistols. I was getting kind of bored at the range with my pistols. The kPos changed that!

Here's a picture after that 500 round range trip. It's pretty "sooty".

Edit: the fit on mine was very tight. Disassembly and reassembly will take time. The pistol fits pretty tight.

I love playing with my father KPOS System. I prefer it over the Kriss Vector. Its light, easy to move around. Barrel of fun. I never noticed that it was loose. My only complaint is I wish the slide racker was more forward.

If you do buy one, I wouldn't recommend the AR style optional charging handle. It will scratch your slide. I saw a slide that was scratched by that handle. What a mess. Stick with the supplied small handle that mounts to a new rear slide plate.

Have a gen 1 KPOS for my P226 - added a cheap holo sight and it's a fun range toy! No looseness in the fitting, if anything it's very tight - so no issues there. Does get dirty though as already mentioned, but that's mostly because you just happen to put a lot of rounds through it....quickly LOL.

Will do. From what I read online, the only time failures happen is if the kit is not optimized for the chassis (eg glock 19 in a glock 17 chassis). That seems like common sense, but I'll provide an update when I get it.

I got a couple one for my 22 and one for my 21, this is a thight fit, no doubt, stuff is quality, it just getting boring after a while since a handgun is limited in precision, i am keeping mines for once a year different stuff to do...

Would i buy again i dont think so...

This is like a tool in the box... JP.

Good to know... I had a TP9 and a BRS99 that I sold because of the 5 round capacity. I figured this would be a more diverse option because it would be a 10 round pdw and a standard glock pistol. Just waiting on the pistol from Rampart and the kpos from wolverine, and then I'll post my impressions.

Caramel,

If you've got one that you don't like that might fit my G17....I'm entirely ok with sloppy seconds when it comes to good condition gun parts...

NS

For now, the only one i would let go is for a G21 or G20, i will keep the G17 for my G19... JP.

It arrived today - the thing is a beast! It is very light but feels very substantial. The gun is locked in tightly and the action works very nicely. I ran a few dummy rounds through it and it looks like there will be no issues with ejection.

The only thing I am on the fence about is the stock. There is a springed hinge at the back where the stock locks in the rear of the gun. The crossbolt locks the chassis down, but this happens before the spring is fully compressed. As a result, when the weapon is shouldered, the stock compressed the rear of the chassis just a bit more, which makes the gun feel unsturdy. Once the spring is compressed, it is rock solid. I just wish that the bolt locked the chassis down at the fully compressed point to reduce any play.

@Wolverine, do you know if this is normal?

Other than that, the thing is awesome, and I can't wait to shoot it.
