Krieger Heavy 22" in SS on a Poly/USGI/JAE rig.

Choices are 1-10, 1-11 or 1-12 twist.

Shoot strictly hand loads, Lapua brass & Lapua 167 HPBT.

Home range is limited to 300 yrds, but would like to be able to stretch it out in the future.

Which twist rate would be best suited to my needs ?

Thanks in advance guys.

I've shot mine out to 900yards. I've used Berger 155.5 fb and Hornady 168g amax and 168g hpbt.
The 155.5 flys flatter. It also gets there at supersonic speeds.

1:11" or 1:12". I've got both and you aren't going to notice any difference between the 2 one way or another. For what you're looking to do, either will be fine.

12 twist.

Keep an eye on the wear and tear of the op rod and bolt.

Some suggest increased wear with heavier bullets.

I shot 155gr Amax and had great accuracy and performance at 500yds on clay pigeons. Never shot further.
