Krieger M-14 18.5" barrels

Hi All,

I have been advised that Krieger has a run of 25 18.5" M-14 barrels in stock, ready to crown and short chamber.

These are Chromoly Steel (good for parkerization or bluing) and 11" twists. These have short chambers which require finish reaming of the chamber and thhroat.

For those not aware, Chinese made M-14S, M305 use metric threads for their accessories such as gas cylinders. M-14/M1A rifles (for which these are made) use imperial threads, so USGI compatible accessories are required. These are medium pattern barrels which means they do not require a special op rod guide.

Cost is $450 + applicable tax and postage.

These are at Krieger and there are ONLY 25 of them. I have not spoken for any except one for another customer.

EDITED***** 14 left at krieger, 10 ordered for Canada so far

email me if you are interested.

Speaking of which... has anyone heard from Obtunded lately? I tried calling the number on his website and it's been disconnected.
I've tried emailing a few times and haven't recived any replies.

Does anyone know Obtunded personally and can they comment on what's going on?

I'm starting to wonder about the two barrels I bought.

Thanks

I haven't heard either, my AR 15 varmatch barrel is overdue. I am going to e mail him next week and hope to get a reply.

there is a health issue with a family member and Ian is balancing work and family as best he can. I know i shouldn't speak for him but figured i'd pass on what i know so no one starts panicking or trashing on a good guy ;) I've got a bill to pay for barrels i've already received so i'm sure he'll be around soon enough. :D

My attempts to contact Ian have not received a reply in weeks. Has anyone heard from him? He sent me a barrel that never arrived, and I now have clients getting pissed off.
I hate bringing this onto the forum but has anyone heard from or received a barrel lately?
I'm concerned as I know Ian had some health issues and I hope he is alright

Well, that now makes 9 people who are emailing and p.m.'ing me for answers. Only ONE of these is a client of mine.

For the record, I am not affiliated with Adam's Lake rifle barrels and all these emails I'm getting are starting to bug me.

I have been waiting for a simple invoice from Ian since spring so I can pay him for received product.
I am also waiting for a client's barrel that was "in his hands and shipping tomorrow" as of May. Still no barrel yet 3 times he has claimed it's on the way.
Still no barrel and this is going to cost me big dollars in refund on my client's build.

I am far beyond pissed off and trying to find an alternate source for krieger barrels until such time as my shop switches to supplying Match quality McGowen M1A barrels

Further to the above... If anyone has a new, unfitted , short chambered Krieger medium 18.5 M14 barrel surplus to their needs.... I'm desperate to get one for my client ASAP

Hi Doc,

Was told by Ian today that they were no longer importing krieger barrels beyond existing orders:(

Do you have a krieger garand barrel surplus to your needs? was looking for 308 1-12 twist stainless...

I was also told this by Ian today.

You talked to Ian today?
Odly enough he still hasn't replied to my multiple emails/p.m.'s
The barrel he said he has in his hands and was sending me 3 times now has still not arrived.
Would be nice to at least get a response

I've called, I've emailed, I've p.m.'d , I give up :D
We all know I have my own issues with comms at times so I'm not gonna say anything more in this thread. This could easily turn into a trash fest and that wouldn't be cool.

An update, even though I said I wouldn't post anything more.
I talked to my wife, as I'm still on the road till this evenin, and my client's barrel arrived this morning at the post office. Haven"t heard from Ian but am thankfull the barrel has arrived and I can get Ben's rifle put together. thx Ian

It looks like the Krieger situation in Canada is getting pretty grim.

With Ian no longer bringing in product, I called the other Kreiger export distributor for Canada.

It seems that, in their infinite wisdom, the powers that be inserted a "no threaded barrel" clause on his new export paperwork. While they probably meant to exclude threaded muzzles, this means that any barrel format that is threaded at the receiver end cannot be brought in either.
