Krinker Plinker

Hi,

I just found out about the Krinker Plinker :

http://www.target-sports.com/krinkerplinker.htm

Is it any good or is it a junk gun? How expensive and how reliable.

Any comments are appreciated.
Best money you can spend on a 10/22 in my opinion. Theres a few guys that have them here, I sold mine when I was hard on cash but I'll be building another for sure!

first you buy a ruger for, say $300 (give or take)
then you buy the krinker kit for about $400 depending on what kit you want.
so it costs about $700 befor you get to shoot anything.
do I want one? hell-YAH!

No you get the kit, but I know TargetSports sells them with a 10/22 and will build it for you for something like 799.

Anyways the Krink is hella fun. I fired a 16'' and it was the best .22 I've shot in a while.

I always thought they looked cool, but how's the accuracy?

Can we get the folding stock up here?

for mallninja on a budget, one step up from airsoft

..........Amphib has it right. Not going to be any better than the regular tried and true 10/22.

.........Its the look factor that gets all the wierdos to oooh and ahhhh over it. Trench coat clowns.:D

I got one and love it. If your used to shorter stuff, this is the perfect thing. Great with a dot sight and lots of fun as your cool plinker. If you like the look its well worth the money and has a nice feel even for big guys. Make sure you weld the stock and flash hider so you can regester it as Non-res(8" kit)

Questar (the dealer who was importing these, including a 'Canadian' version that alleviated the need to weld folder -or- register as restricted) is no longer going to be dealing in any 10/22 related gear (based on a recent email I received from them). There may be another Canadian supplier I'm not aware of (or someone may step in to fill the void).

You may want to consider this alternative, for 1/2 the price of a 'Krinker Plinker' (i.e. $250 CDN) you can import one of these nice Christie
stocks + flash supressor

I think they were introduced at the 2007 shot show and have been mentioned in a few recent CGN threads as being solid and comfortable, in addition to having the 'tactical' LCF (looks-cool factor). At $250 they leave you with money left over for internal upgrades that will improve the accuracy/reliability of your 10/22... or maybe even fund a couple of these nice 50 round drum mags from Questar's discount bin:
