Whats the deal with the bakelite mag?? is it functional, or just an AK mag you stuck in for a pic?

It is an AK mag just stuck in for the pic. You can tell by the design of the mag catch.

Where do you get all of the cool Krink parts? Seriously, this is another Krink clone using Krink parts no one else can get.

So the other day I was painting some 858 mags. Don't really like the blue/grey shiny finish on them. I usually just hit em with some flat black krylon. But this thread got me thinking. I got looking around for different colors this is as close as I could get to Bakelite. If you were real serious you could body fill the sides to make it smooth like a Bakelite mag.

Just did it for fun. Probably give it a shot of black. Would look ok on a krink build maybe.

Here it is. I got it at home hardware. It's just a primer. That orangy brown color is hard to find.





I noticed at Walmart the other day that they have a similar color that has texture. If you wanted them extra grippy

F/H has been threaded for the barrel and now it is looking real sharp.
All I'm gonna do is finish it all in a phosphate and it's completed.

That flash hider looks really good. Want one for my 7.5"
The butt stock looks like it's perfect for that rifle. How is it for comfort? Has to be better than the AK under folder?? Those look like they could be very uncomfortable

The stock is definitely the most comfy other then a wood one. The underfolder is ok and the romanian one i had was good but this triangle stock is my fav.

Well if you can find the same F/H all ypu have to do is bore out the inside and tap it M14x1.0 and you should be good to go

Are you running a stormwerkz adaptor on that stock or is it a custom job?

Stormwerkz adapter and folding mech. Had a machinist at work rig up the stock to the folding mech for me.
