hey E , don't feel bad , I said no to B six months ago before but he just kept coming back and he was very persuasive , I almost took his velmet as a trade (ofcos not straight trade ) .

but this is harder then I thought , im going thru a seller remorse , every time I see my old FSN , it looks better and better. I miss it already, sniff sniff .

You must have cut him a good deal. I hit him up on his a month or so ago and got denied haha.

Its all good on my end. No hard feelings. I'm not sure I could mod an FSN-01K, but bfiles makes it tough with all these well done jobs.

I can't believe you did it. Bfiles did the same with me and I told him to try you again.....I can't believe you sold it. what are you going to replace it with?

bfiles. Is that a real krinkov hider and have you shot the rifle yet? Only asking because I am thinking of having dlask drill and put the pin from the 858 fsb into the gas block/front sight on the 01k and then getting a brake like that and having it notched to catch the pin. I despise the set screw brake that came with the rifle.

I have not shot it yet but i know what ya mean about the set screw worst way to possibly do it.
It is a krink hider, but what i had to do to it was bore out the old threads and bore down about 2" deep. Then I tapped it for the M14x1 RH so it would just screw on to the existing threads. I did it this way so it wasn't sitting on the end of the muzzle. Otherwise with the front sight block being so far back it would have looked stupid.
It really just sleeves over the barrel now and screw in. I may put a set screw into the side of the hider just to make sure it will not unscrew in the middle of firing.
The detent is a great idea, but if you look there is a step in the barrel which is about as long as the detent itself so the detent might be useless still.

Bfiles would it be possible with that flashhider you're using to cut off the end of the brake with the AK threads then rethread for vz58? Would it still be thick enough to thread. Looks like it narrows a bit in middle

**Edit** oh after re-reading your post I guess that's basically what you did just without cutting the piece off. Think I'll order one and try it for my 7.5"
