Kriss v range report ?

I took mine to the range to sight in an Eotech I had mounted on it. Very accurate. I'll take some pics of the target (as I'm not allowed at my club to take shots indoors) at various distances and post them. I really enjoyed the 100 rounds I put through it though. Only one FTF - everything else was awesome. I must point out that the mags are new and as a result, that 10th round was a problem to get in (and come out it appears - my FTF).

Amazing shooting machine

More fun then a AR15. Low recoil but you can feel the power of 230gr round living the barrel. My big surprise was the sound signature is very low comparing to a 1911. All the gaz is burn inside the 18.5inch barrel.

Very easy to control, and good weapon to initiate new shooter.

I put 200 rounds of 230 grain Western Munitions commercial reloads without ANY FTF OR JAMS. VERY HAPPY!!!!!

Handled very well and very quick. Balance was awesome! I put an Viridian green laser / light combo on and it works very well with the Kriss.

My only gripe was a set screw on the stock that raked the crap out of my arms every time I picked it up.....to the point I bloodied a shirt sleeve. It's nothing some hockey tape and an Allen key can't fix.... but still...it hurt....lol

None the less....loving the Kriss ths far. I'm going to take it out for Coyotes next week and test the range while I'm out.

I'm embarrassed to admit I've only put about 250 rounds through mine so far (mixture of Western Munitions and Am Eagle 230 gr). One FTF early on, probably the extremely stiff spring in the new magazines. Some of the early examples (2008-2009) ejected so weakly that the brass barely rolled out of ejection port. Mine launches the brass 7 meters across the indoor range with enough oompf that it hits the wall and bounces back to my side of the range. The recoil does indeed "come back at you". When shooting silhouette style the sights only raise a few inches above the bull at fifty meters. When I shot it Costa style I quickly discovered that I needed less tension in my support side to control the muzzle in recoil (as compared to an AR15). One thing I have discovered, she likes to be wet. Don't let her get too dry, especially the the bolt and trigger components. The only thing I don't like about this rifle is the trigger. If I could get a JP Enterprises trigger for her I'd park my AR for a while, and I love my AR. If your in Calgary and want to try a Kriss just let me know.

I've put my Accupoint on it but haven't sighted it in, when I do I'll try to post some pictures.

Agreed, it likes to be run wet, and the trigger, while not nearly as bad as a mosin, is still pretty awful compared to what it should be.

Looking forward to some how to's or a drop in match trigger kit for it. It would honestly make it one of my favorates. (more then it is already... I have a lot of guns.)

We just had a customer in the range today and he could not finish a magazine without several stoppages. He finally gave up trying and used his handgun.

With my limited Kriss experience (but engineering background) I'd suggest two places to start. Run full house loads (the bolt/spring is uber heavy) and lube the crap out of her; like a CZ75, run her soaking wet.

The only problem I have had now in 600 rounds or so is the fact it has one magazine. Lol. Aim point micro is dialed n now.....got 3 skunks, 2 raccoons, and a coyote thus far. Had a visit with a wildlife officer as well......no problems other than he thought it was quote 'odd'...haha.

S far i have only run the Western ammo though....but I have 2000 rounds of it, so why fix it if it works.

Held a Kriss at the range,,really disappointed in that extremely long barrel, looks like hell.
Now import a restricted version with a much shorter barrel then I'm in.

How else do you expect them to make it non restricted?

If you don't like the non restricted model, pre order yourself the restricted version. Some dealers are starting to list them now.

Agreed. I wanted it for a pack gun when varmint hunting or plinking. For my purpose it works wonders. On the plus side, the suppressed version in the US with the longer barrel don't look much different, so I think they did what they could aesthetically for a NR version. Best case scenario. I find it balances very well with the longer barrel too, which is a plus.

Taking it down to TSE tonight for a range session with a friend. Another 200 down the pipe....;)
