Kriss Vector 10mmAuto Carbine Review.

Lol, Easy now, I own 2 Cummins's in a dodge wrapper. One at 750RWHP, and the other is stone stock... both have been very good to me.

Lol, only 750? Hope they hold together for you. At least you got the Cummins, those motors will outlast everything else on the truck.
Our work trucks are Dodge and one of them needed an engine rebuild at 30,000km and the other has electrical issues after about the same km.

Yes, the 06 needs a new PDC.... Running a VERY overworked 66mm SPSII from industrial Injection... The Twin is on the bench for my winter project. Just a small S400 ... with upgraded guts. Southbend DD 3250 Pulling clutch, 6 speed... she can be tempermental to drive in the snow... I run EFI Live, and don't de-tune in the winter.

The 2011 is not really a Cummins... just a 6.7 Siamese bore shadow of the 5.9..stone stock since i have the Dually 4.10 and 6 speed auto.

BTW, the 06 has 432,000 on it, and the 2011 has 179,000

I cant seem to find any military users for this gun.

Anyone know any users outside of civilian market?

Probably only some private security guys, I doubt something like this would make it far as a military firearm. It's a cool little toy that's a lot of fun to shoot but like all pcc's it has it's limitations.
I've owned a couple of the gen 1's and they were both reliable and accurate with factory loads and handloads.

That makes the most sense a security detail

Small update. 500 rounds are now down the pipe, and this carbine continues to impress. Sighted in at 100M, and have no issues at all hitting a 14" round gong at 270m (8/10)

This gun was made for the 10mm. Light, hard hitting, and a real dream to shoot off hand. The balance is just perfect. The looks are an acquired taste for sure, but I am as good with this carbine as my CCanada IUR.

I have to drop 6 Stadia lines on the Sightron 1-7 MH to hit 270 from my 100m zero, but it IS a pistol bullet after all.

Best luck so far is with 175 or 180gn projectiles.... I am stymied on the 200gn bullets. I might have to try another slower powder and go for more case filling to realize any benefit to the 200's. It could also be a lost cause. I hope tht is not the case, but time will tell.

Lubrication. Royal Purple 75/140 rear diff lube. This stuff is AWESOME in my semi auto guns. And the vector really showcases what a superior lubricant it is. There is ZERO finish wear on the eccentric thrust triangle, and just a light buffing on the guide rails.

2 FT Feeds has been zero for the last 250 or so rounds. Does not like to be shot inverted (had to try it) but shoots at any other conceivable angle just fine.

Brass.... Fme, the brass looks awful. The Vector launches brass with more authority than a mini14 and all over the place. Seriously, collecting brass is a chore. I think I will make a catcher to fit on the pic rail. This is the first gun other than the mini 14 i had that throws brass with all the precision of a ouijii board.

But satisfied?? Hell Yes. White is a bit cnutty to clean, but the finish looks as good now as it did when brand new. Amazing gun, dead nuts reliable, and handles everything from a .40 PF load to ridiculous full power 10mmAuto. And yet, I had 2 girls that were 12 and 15 fire it off the bags comfortably.

I have to give this carbine a solid 9.0/10

only 3 things keep it from 10/10

#1 Mag release needs a stronger spring so you do not inadvertently drop a mag while shooting.
#2 Barrel shroud.. comes loose no matter what loctite you use (and I use the gel sticks)
#3 Brass. Chitkicks the brass mouth, and throws them everywhere. from 10' to 40' away in a 105 degree pattern... this is a vector thing.

To summarize, If you are on the fence, get one. No disappointments. Fit and finish is what you pay for here, and excellence never did come cheap.
You need to use an exceptional lubricant. Forget the snake oil 'gun lubes' Molybdenum Disulphide is your friend. This gun likes Gear Oil, not grease (which suprises me but oh well)
10mmAuto. If you load for .40, just buy 2 cases of PMC 10mm and save the brass. The rest of the suff you already have except the large primers.

.Yes, this gun will stay with me a good long time. Even packing for berry picking, it is light enough to pack (w red dot not the 1-7x i normally run)

I've got one in 45ACP and it has a few thousand rounds through it. It's somewhat funny to shoot, as with the long barrel it's pretty quiet and of course zero recoil. And the bullet is so slow. Shooting at a 100 yard gong it's like"PHUT............................gong moves........CLANG" :)

But the 230gr bullet DOES really move the gongs, even the 40 lb 1/2" 16x16 gongs.

The Restricted version with the short barrel in 10mm would be great for wilderness defense, but the NR version is just too unwieldy. I would much prefer my hot loaded 45 Colt Mdl 94 Trapper. More power and much easier to carry.

Definately a ''PHUT'' sound. Hilarious, it is like a large hiccup! Yes, moving 3/4" AR500 12x12'' gongs is funny. Def hits harder than 556 at 100m. By a LOT.
