So I have acquired a like-new NR Kriss in 10mm Auto.

I knew getting into it that they are heavier than they look. For those that don't know, the shroud is about 0.6lbs (bathroom scale) and removing it makes a difference you can feel.

Before I go out and waste a bunch of 10mm ammunition, I thought I'd ask first if anyone has done tests with and without shroud installed and if it affects accuracy?
Better, worse or no change?

I've research a bunch and only found a few posts in the US that state accuracy got worse without the shroud.

Any feedback appreciated, thanks.

That much weight off the barrel could change barrel harmonics for sure. Better or worse? Hard to say until you test it out

For anyone that was curious or cares:

I can confirm that if you plan on using Iron Sights with your 18.5" KRISS, you need the shroud installed.
With shroud removed the POI moves about 6-inches down. It's such a drastic change that I could not adjust the MBUIS PRO to correct (i.e. ran out of clicks.)

So there you have it. The 18.5" KRISS needs the shroud at least if you plan on shooting with iron sights.

*My results pertain to the 10mm Auto. Unsure if similar results would occur in other calibers.*
