I ordered a Gen II .45 a couple days ago and I was wondering what kind of accuracy you guys are getting with the non-rest barrels.

Worthy of low powered glass, or stick to a reflex sight?

I was thinking a Millet DMR with an offset .45deg mounted Fast fire would be just the ticket for close to mid range fun... Say 100 yards and under.

Thoughts?

A red dot would definitely be the way to go for a .45, even with that barrel length. A smaller optic like an RMR or Fast Fire III might also look nice/ more subtle on top (all personal preference at this point).

So I'm on the fence..... I have an RX30 available as well as a friend has a Leupold Prismatic 1x.

I'm sure I'd love the RX30, but I'm intrigued by the Prismatic.

Thoughts on either???????

My first gen 1 vector could ring the gong at 200 yards fairly regularly with iron sights once I figured out where to hold over. I sold that one and just bought another gen one. I find that the gen 1 stock is a little low for a good cheek weld so I put my Aimpoint PRO on it without the spacer in the mount and it's pretty sweet now. It looks like the gen 2 stock may be a little higher which would make pretty much any dot sight in a mount made for an AR a good match. I would just use what you have for now and then upgrade or change it later if you feel like it.
They are capable of shooting well but I find my accuracy is effected by ammo choice, as always some are better than others.

ive seen non restricted conversion kits, do they sell the restricted ones?
im on the fence about picking one up...but ive also noticed that the conversion kit is almost the price of the whole gun....so from a $ standpoint...it may just be better to get 2?

On the US sites it's only $400 more to buy the whole gun. Not sure what that translates to here but for that price I would just buy another one. If you ever decide to sell it you will probably have a hard time finding someone to take it all and you'll get lowballed bad for just the lower.

I think I would buy two of them in different colors so you can mix and match for a unique look

thats what it looks like here too. its about $1400 vs $1800

really i want the 9mm more than the .45

I like the idea of having more than one lower for these compared to an ACR or XCR where you would need to worry about classification depending which barrel it has. With the Kriss the lower is the registered part so you would just use whichever lower you wanted depending where you were going.

Gen 2 restricted models are rare. I see bullseye London has a fde and PINK one, lol, in stock - both in 9mm. I'll take a pink one, sure! Love the gen 2 kriss. all the colors ... collect them all!

Pink is a perfect gift for a daughter who wants to do more than shoot the boring 22.

wolfs den has a black gen 2 non-r in stock. not sure if its a 9mm or not and i didnt check the price on it just yet.

out of curiosity, are you still not able to remove the barrel just like the gen 1?

Nah, they aren't that rare... A few site sponsors had the restricted gen 2 models for sale a few months ago.
