Kriss Vector - How do you like it?

So I've been putting off purchasing an SMG type toy for awhile and I'm set on a Vector.
Now, I'm really digging the new Gen2 upgrades and I'd be purchasing one with a short barrel in 9mm.
I'm really looking at decking it out
Please tell me everything I need to know about these and I have a heap ton of questions.

What do you like and what do you not?

Are they Cerakoted or is the polymer dyed?
If Cerakoted, are the black ones Cerakoted as well?

What red dots are you running and what would you recommend?

Recommended upgrades and accessories?

Do all generations of Glock mags work?
Aftermarket mags work well?

Anyone using the folding stock adaptor?
M4 style stock is mil spec?
Did you change your stock and why?

Are Double Tap triggers verboten?

What barrel accessories should I get?
(Ex.: linear compensator, muzzle brake, flash hider, etc.. )

Please post pics if possible of both restricted and non!

I've owned two gen 1 and now have a gen 2 in 9mm. I like them a lot.
I'm running an Aimpoint PRO on mine currently.

There is not a lot of aftermarket for them so I'm not sure what you want to do to it to "deck it out".

The only thing I don't like about it is that it's not very sling friendly, the restricted version may be less of an issue though since you'll only be using it at the range and not carrying it around the bush.

They're accurate and reliable with every magazine I own which is a mix of Glock, KCI, Magpul and one other Korean one that came with my FX-9.

Recommended upgrades? None, just buy lots of ammo and shoot it.

I like the folding stock from the gen 1 but the new one does give a better cheek weld.

They're a really cool little toy that can easily keep up with any other PCC.
I also own a 9mm AR and an FX-9, and have owned a few other PCC's over the years. The Vector keeps finding a place in my collection.

The entire point of the Vector operating system is recoil mitigation. It's wasted on 9mm, in my opinion. Like a Ferrari with a Honda Civic motor.

With the Vector, go .45 or go home.

That being said, I've been eyeing one for a while. Can't decide if I should go restricted or non-restricted. Some of the handguars extensions make the non-restricted ones look not half bad.

It's not wasted on the 9mm, between the operating system and the little extra weight it has over my FX-9 it is a little smoother shooting and therefore a little faster on follow up shots.
Basically the same as putting a brake on a 9mm PCC, it doesn't seem like it should be needed but if you want to shoot fast it does make a difference.

My favorite PCC and also the one I felt was the highest quality was my HK USC. I only sold it because I couldn't find a NR length barrel for it when I had it, the magazines were expensive and no pistol mag options. Other than that it was an amazing PCC, was even better when I found a 9 inch barrel for it.

Honestly, I'd get the 10mm but this will be a range only gun.
I heard that the 9mm shoots similarly to a 22LR?
What optics are you guys using?
Any reliability issues with the Gen2?

Vector gen 2 45 acp, i luv it very much, it's like shooting a big 22 lr, it's accurate over the bag, i run a aimpoint on it.

I have 8 mags 6 X Glock, 2 X KCI, all are flawless.

I think the 10mm version would be even better.

I'd love a NR in 10mm. Worst thing about my 10mm pistol is losing brass to the lawn, if I could shoot it from the Vector I could use my brass catcher :)

I don't think I would compare it to shooting a 22LR but it's definitely not going to hurt your shoulder.
I find the recoil impulse to more of a down/up jiggle with a light bump into the shoulder.
Very controllable and easy to fire.

Mine have all been reliable with all ammo and all magazines.
Mostly fed handloads though.

Got the sbr and non restricted in 9mm gen2, works great with glock and ets clear mags super reliable never a hiccup awesome gun fun and cheap to shoot uses my Glock mags so that’s a bonus, I much prefer the sbr to the non restricted.
East to strip and clean.
Don’t think I will mess with the stock folders are cool but this one is great.
Using a vortex crossfire red dot $200 lifetime warranty, light weight works great.
Muzzle break would be overkill but slr makes a nice one for 9mm.
It’s my wife and I’s Favourite gun.

Thanks for the responses guys!
I'll have to decide between the cheap to shoot 9mm or the 10mm.
Still learning towards the 9mm as a range toy only.
What red dot setup would you guys recommend?

It's easily my favorite part of my modest collection and an absolute treat to shoot.

Mine is a 9mm Carbine, one of the early model Gen 2's, that still had a folding stock (I went searching for it on the EE). I'd prefer the SBR, but I wasn't going to be too picky about what I was looking for.

As the others have said it feeds and fires without any issues and is easy to strip and clean. And while I'm not necessarily a fan of Glock firearms, their magazines are as solid as can be and definitely worth the investment.

My red-dot is a Dagger Defense brand, which I found on sale on Amazon for like $75, but like mostly because it has a low profile and doesn't really add any more distance between the sights and the barrel than irons would.
