Kriss vector non-restricted

Well PS90 is cool but since it can only shoot 5 rounders so I wil go for Kriss not by second thought

5 round SMG just boring 10 round SMG is much better lol

Btw have any one tried the Norinco 45ACP ammo from canadaammo on their Kriss yet??

Hey all,
So, the Tavor is getting lonely in the safe, and was thinking about a KRISS, non-restricted. Anyone own one, or have any first hand experiences to share...

Yes, I owned both and prefer the restricted version simply due to feel/balance. That being said, if non-restricted is a requirement...

Definitely fun to shoot but don't you find the charging handle a little awkward?

Only if you mount one of the sharp side factory rails ("awkward" would be slicing your knuckles open on the range as you rack the charging handle... ;) )

How come you never replied to my offer to trade it for an XCR?!?
:D

I think I had my "hell freezes over" filter enabled... ;) Pretty sure if I actually bought an XCR the magnetic poles would reverse or something along those lines...

There is a list on their website of recommended ammo. It would be a good place to start. Just buy a box and try it. If it cycles your good and if not try something else. Every rifle will be a little different so there isn't really an exact answer.

Even some of the recommended stuff will occasionally give issues. I believe Federal AE is on the approved list, but it gave me approximately one FTF in ten. Blazer Brass and Lawman are two that I found run flawlessly.

All right.

Why is it that 99% of Kriss V's have an EOTECH on them? Is the RMR or T-1 too short? The Eotech gives proper sight picture with the cheekweld on the KRISS?

Thoughts? What about a Aimpoint PRO?

I run a NR Kriss in my truck with my Tavor...they make a good combo for coyotes.

I love them both, and are both keepers as far as I can guess my future. I have no issues with either trigger, and given what they are built for and their design, I think they are great arms.

I runn Aimpoint Micro on the Kriss and a Spetre DR on the Tavor...both of which are great optics choices for these guns, IMHO I suppose. I can post pictures later tonight if I get to it.

So I had my non restricted Vector out the other day and it cycled UMC 230gr, Norinco, and my 200gr Berry's JHP handloads without much problem. I'll have to look to see which load I was shooting because I just grabbed a batch and loaded a couple mags. It was too cold to record any results or do anything other than test for function. It was around -20C with the windchill.
I think the couple stoppages I had were more because of the lubricant I used being a little too thick for the cold temp I was shooting in. I will have to go back out now that I cleaned it and lubed it with oil instead of grease.

It seems to shoot low (8-10 inches) at 25yds even though I have the front sight adjusted down fairly low. Need more range time to sort out the details.

I have been lloking for a PS90. Where can I get one in Canada?

Sorry for the delay. Questar. But they are on back order.

That being said, the 50 round mag is limited to 5 rounds, mag changes are slow and ammo is hard to get/expensive. I still really like mine. But if you're looking for a pistol carbine in 45 cal, then the Kriss, HK UMP, and the rare CX4 storm seem to be the only real games in town. The Kriss Vector catches my interest then loses it. There are pluses and minuses. I would actually prefer a slightly longer barrel in the restricted version. 5.5" is pistol length. But then again I could fire it at the indoor range during winter. They won't let me shoot my non restricted 9mm storm due to the barrel length and concerns regarding velocity of the ammo vs their backstop.

45ACP sounds wierd when shot but is a great little package out to 50 meters.
I would keep my money in my pocket though tv...
Keep your fingers crossed for next year's Canada release of a new pistol calibre rifle...
;)

Honestly, having owned both - I preferred the 5.5" SBR version. Something about the feel/balance just felt more natural than the NR version. The 5.5" length is perfect... for suppressors! :p

What really chokes my goat is the fact that you can not place a rail on the charging handel side. Why even have them.

Just use the other side. How much crap do you want to hang off your gun anyway? Put a flashlight in the hole above the barrel and a laser on the right or bottom and that should pretty much cover it. Am I forgetting something that needs to be on a rifle?
My biggest problem with my Vector is the sling options, there aren't many.

all i know about em is the barrel on the nr wiggles like a wet noodle (could be just the barrel shroud doing it for all i know)

That would be the shroud. The barrel is pressed in I believe and is close to impossible to remove.

I thought about a custom barrel.....

Herron arms will do a 10mm conversion :D
Once I get the cash together to buy the restricted one I'm going to get my non restricted made into 10mm auto and then do some deer hunting with it. :xes
They destroy your factory barrel in the process though :(

For some strange reason Kriss had MI build the BUIS slightly lower than normal MI flip up sights. I find I can co-witness with the eotech but not the T1.

I shoot one with 18.6 inch barrel yesterday, and I'll say its amazing due to its lightweight and almost recoil-free design.

I'm gonna get one very soon, just waiting to finished a pile of work.

Honestly it's hard to find a proper non restricted black rifle. And for the price, around 2000, I'll say im glad it's not marked as 3000. You know, it's the marketing thing...

BTW, thumbs up for taking Glock21 mag and shoots 45ACP! My favorite round!
