I'm looking at these thinking, I could see myself with one...
Anyone else thinking the same? or have one?

Sound off on reliability/ build quality/ accuracy?

seems like a ridiculous complication to solve a problem that didnt really exist. everyone ive ever talked to who fired a sten or sterling on full auto said they are completely controllable, and most said they gun moves in a nice tight figure 8 shape over the target. and they have one moving part

Sten has a rate of fire of 600 rpm

Kriss has a rate of fire of 1200 rpm

Check out this u-tube vide on the Kriss. It gets the top marks in everything!!I couldn't help but notice in the ratings at the end that it's very in-expensive......

My plan is to purchase one to add to the USC I have in .45 - but not just yet

PCC have always been a serious interest of mine, but it seems the NR category in Canada is limited. Probably because the longer barrel kind of defeats the purpose of the PCC.

How much do you think we'll start seeing them popping up on the EE for? hahaha.

I think they MIGHT put a dent in the JR carbine sales, regardless of the price.

I want to see a review of a kriss vs sub2000 vs a jr.....

Fired the SMG (Sterling copy) full auto and the Kriss full auto, the kriss does put a impressive amount of lead downrage is a very short time, with minimal muzzle climb. If you ever fired a Sten, SMG/Sterling you wll feel the bolt move forward when you pull the trigger, then it fires, you get used to it.

Is the kriss important enough of a tech change to fill a niche, maybe. For me this will be the "Mauser Broomhandle" of the future. Odd enough and unique enough to have a following. A full auto one in .40cal would be fun.

sten is 9x19

kriss is .45

it doesnt matter, the reason a regular open bolt smg is controllable on full auto is that the weight of the bolt slamming forward counteracts any muzzle climb from the round just fired. the first round accuracy can be solved by having it fire from a closed bolt on the first round, much like the later uzis

as for the higher rate of fire, if we take a 100 m dash time of about 20 seconds thats one round every half meter your target moves, and you dont burn up half a magazine everytime you pull the trigger

it does seem interesting, much like the MP5 roller delay, and i would like to try one out some time (along with alot of other firearms) but im not gonna lay out any cash to pick one up any time soon

I've got one coming. I had one look at the videos and said to myself, damn that would make a mighty fine pack/bush gun. Scares bears, squirrels and those granola eating, city dwelling, hippie wannabees. I love the totally anti PCness of it.

True, but It also has long since been said that a closed bolt is generally more accurate than an open, why not nullify the muzzle climb and gain accuracy?

besides....we all know any firearm that fires open bolt is totally evil.....

I feel the same way about dropping +2000 on something that I've never shot. Chances are I will love it. Never shot a gun I didn't like.

I'd like to see a province by province section on CGN, one that would allow you to contact members around your area for shoots/etc. I too would like to try one out, but don't know of anyone in the area with one.

I have one on order. I like the idea of having easily available 10 round pistol magazines and a .45 subgun.

The only one that I think is really comparable to the KRISS on our market is the HK USC/UMP models, and you are looking at a lot more then 2k for any of those.

Can't wait.

isn;t the USC cheaper than the Kriss by a couple hundred bucks?

Depending on where you get it, it can be. I was thinking about all the upgrades you would have to do to make it a UMP clone. (Not everyones ball, but thats the only purpose for it in my eyes.) In that case it would be closing in on 5-6k after all the gunsmithing and parts.
