Kropatchek ~ I give up.

RCBS may be just the ticket - can always order direct from them too: https://shop.rcbs.com/WebConnect/Ma...oductDisplay&screenlabel=index&productId=4990

I actually just sent CH4D and email ;)

Very good idea.

CH4D . com also lists Kropatchek dies on their site. They have 2 types, 8X56 and 8X60. They also sell forming and trim dies. They ship to Canada no problem. They are really backlogged at the moment however so if it isn't on the shelf the wait time for custom orders is 6 months or more. If you call them they will be happy to check if they have what you want on the shelf.

Though they have been sold recently, Rocky Mountain Cartridges should be able to provide the brass. Their website does not list all the brass they make, & what I have got in the past is top-notch.

Previous location was Cody, Wyoming... just had to look up at a label on the shelf. No issues in the past with bare brass.
Where issues really lie with many US suppliers from what I have been told is that Canada Post does not provide confirmable delivery tracking for items crossing the border . In short, some Canadian dirt-bag orders
something from the US via USPS, then denies it showed up to escape payment. Supplier cannot get Canada Post to confirm & then are out payment for the item. I can't blame them for not wanting to get screwed twice.
Also, most Canadian customers do not want to get "raped" by UPS and others for +$50 "Brokerage fee" on top of delivery costs for each item. UPS will also try to tack on duty for items exempt. This also explains why a lot of Canadians on the border have PO boxes just over on the other side. Another option for those with good friends/relatives in the US, is to have items sent to their address, then forward on.
Fortunately an e-mail to RMC doesn't cost a thing for their current status.
Cheers

Get a bag of 50 rounds of that Serbian Partizan 8mm Lebel brass from Trade-Ex, bevel the Rims, load it up and shoot it.

$35 for a bag of 50.

I am using cheap-o Lee Lebel dies: $30.

Most MOULDS will cast slightly oversize, especially if the metal is good and hot.

Lee makes a .324" mould.

Mid South Shooter's Supply is getting 225-grain custom moulds from Lee, some time next month.

It IS possible!

I'm ordering more Lebel brass come Pension Day. With 3 Berthiers and 2 Krops, what else can a guy do?

Yeah I had one of those rifles, too. It was the only gun in my collection that never got fired! :( In a gun digest from circa 1994-95 there was an article on the Guedes rifle, there would be helpful info there. I think he used .348 to make cases. A note on .348 brass, it tends to be smaller on the base than the books say. They say to turn the base down to make 8mm. Lebel, but if you did, it would make the finished case way undersize.

I bought that rifle and shot it!. I used .348 win brass, lebel dies & cast bullets out of a 8mm mauser mold from midsouth. I beveled the base in a drill press using a file.

rifle and pistol brass is not exempt from the US export reg's shiping or bringing it back is a illegal act without having a exporter/importer do it for you

Damn, I'd offer to pick a bunch up for you and bring back otherwise :( These guys are just a few minutes away from my parents' place...

Unless something can be figured out? Would Prophet River (ask here http://store.prophetriver.com/pages/Contact-Us.html ?) or someone like them import brass?
