Krylon paint...how to take it off??

For some types of paint a hot air paint stripper will work. CT has them for under $50 I think.
Most solvents and paint thinners will also melt plastic.
Laquer thinner is just bassically toluene or xylene mixed with MEK and methanol or isopropal alcohol.
Nothing wrong with re-using MEK exposed to air, ketones will absorb moisture out of the air but the small amount will not hurt anything.

A product called "goof off" works pretty well on some paints as well (great on crayons on walls or stickers on fridges, just ask my wife)

You might want to try oven cleaner. believe it or not it's safe for on plastic(its what modelers use on polystyrene models, but i don't know about your finish underneith

Holy thread revival!

I need to remove krylon from a glock, both frame and slide. Bought it with the paint job and just can't live with it. I would paint over it but is starting to crack and peel in parts.... not the best paint job.

I like the sound of the pressure washer but i'm not sure how soft the frame's plastic is. I'd rather not trash it anymore than necessary. Chem stippers sound dicey.

Anyone tried this before?
