Krylon Paint removal...

Nice job...thank god you weren't trying to match that table cloth...that wouldn't have been practical at all! :D :)

I think it would be well worth at least one trip to the range on a busy day. "Are those ... strawberries on your stock? ............ Why the h&*(() would you do that?"
 
Hey Berger, I kinda like your first version. I read on another thread, methyl hydrate will strip paint. Did you paint directly onto the glass stock, or did you apply primer first, then paint ? About the pattern used, did you freehand it or did you buy stencils?

Thanks Zeb. I used a flat primer, then I used the various Krylon colours. The pattern canme from bulldogarms. I also applied a flat clear coat spray afterwards.
 
i thought krylon can said no need of primer..? well i guess it's really just your personnal choice

It may not be necessary, as the USGI stock I had was painted in that brown primer anyway. I did want to prime because of the selector switch fill. The extra coats helped blend and and make the fill almost invisible.
