Looking at picking up some new camo patterns for the upcoming hunting season. What do you think of the newer kryptek camo patterns? I currently use real tree ap for all my big game hunting needs. Does anyone have any experience using the kryptek patterns? Should I make the move or keep it classic and stick with real tree?

The highlander pattern is the one I am looking at purchasing. It looks cool, but form follows function in this situation.

I got my wife th highlander pattern zip up shirt and vest. She loves it and so far has worn it hunting geese, ducks, turkey, and for fishing. I got it for her on that sale here last year.

I like the Kryptek Highlander and Mandrake patterns for hunting, great camo. But the actual Kryptek brand of clothing is hit and miss in the quality department. Most of the gear has the Trailer Park SF Operator appearance which tends to sell and helps buyers overlook the actual quality of materials and stitching. I have Caddog pants and jacket in XL that I may consider selling as I prefer my Arcteryx gear and either the SAS or Platatac smock.

Check out Platatac in Australia. They turn out some clothing in Kryptek patterns using a milspec, poly/cotton fabric. I bought a few pieces of their gear. The pants and smocks are well made, but I can't comment on any of their other gear. I still prefer the geometry, size and location of pockets, and fit on the original SAS/Royal Marines smock, but the Platatac turns out a close second place in the Kryptek patterns.
