I'm shopping for a 7mm blank and would like to buy Canadian made. Any comments on JC Custom and KS Arms blanks would be welcome and appreciated.
Thanks.

Not a blank but I got JC to spin up a 6.5 creed prefit for my Rem 783 (first one he'd done). Great customer service, fit and finish is great, liked the price. Oh and it shoots very well, still working on load development as life got in the way but very promising.

Can't comment on KS but either way is supporting canadian manufacturing and you can't go wrong with that.

K&S are good, turn around is about 1 month, they will do whatever twist rate you want etc.

Can't speak to KS yet. (Have a KS 6.5 blank I've been debating doing a custom M14 set up with)
Have chambered 3 JC barrels. All of them shoot very very well. 1/2 Moa or better from the 3 that I've worked with.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm going with a KS Arms barrel. I asked for the Bartlein #14 M24/M40 contour which they will do no problem.
7mm, 8 twist, 5R rifling.

Just one more detail that I haven't made up my mind yet. Spending $250 more for the spiral fluting........

Another for JC. Have done a pair of 243 and a 6.5CM... the 243s are almost boring to shoot as long as I don't screw up when rolling the loads...

JC bores and rifles his own barrels from round stock. A lot of attention goes into his barrels. I'm lucky enough to live 45 minutes away. I recently detoured off two rifles. One for a new barrel and one to have a muzzle brake installed. Which he also makes.
