I recently had a Sportsman 78 (M-700) re-barrelled to 358Winchester by KS Arms In Alberta. 22" 12T factory sporter contour, bbl coated and bedded into a Brown Precision. Weight is 6.75lbs scoped with a 2-7. This was my 1st time dealing with them and did so based on the good reviews I've read here. Rifle landed here last week.

Saying that, I could not be happier with the service and product they offer. Turnaround was very close to the quoted time, rifle was flawless, the machining in the bbl showed no machine marks whatsoever and the C/S and communications were prompt and polite. I will certainly be calling them if I need another barrel job.

Rifle is quickly proving to be quite accurate so far. Only had it out a couple times to get the scope zeroed and to have a starter load for hunting this fall. The final load development can wait till later for now.

This 50yrd load was the very 1st group I shot with it getting the scope lined up. I was happy to see that! It's a shame I don't have more of those Remington 200gr CL bullets and they are N/A here in Canada anymore. :(

Glad to hear. I'm waiting for them to ship me a switch barrel rifle Mike built for me. They had the barrel blanks ready a month earlier than quoted and I got an email that the rifle was completed 7 days after they received all of the components. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Just sayin, they have 7X57 reamers too... ;)

Got one barreled action done by then and a barrel for my .22 both shoot amazing and their service was top notch. They answered all my questions with reasoning why. Will be using them again in the near future

I had two Vanguards rebarrelled by K&S, they went to the extra effort so the barrel profile fit the stock, they also spent the time on emails with thoughtful suggestions about barrel length and twist, unlike another popular gunsmith service that I used, they could not even be bothered stamping the calibre on the barrel and also gave me varying gaps in the barrel channel.

I asked Mike the same thing recently. I asked if he knew what the barrel channel looked like on a boyds stock and he told me just to order it and we’ll figure it out when it gets here.

Glad to see KS is finally getting the recognition they deserve here in Canada. They've had an outstanding reputation in Europe and even Australia for a few years now. I used their action/barrel for my 6BR and couldn't be happier with the setup. I quit buying "big name" barrels and KS is my go to now.

They were sponsors of the Canadian Fclass team at one point. Their barrels are the best in the business. I have a 65cm barreled action from them I bought just before covid.

I've had them put a few rifles together for me. Including fixing one someone else had worked on, and am familiar with another 20 or so that they built. All of them are shooters. Fit and finish of their work is top notch, and customer service is amazing.
