Ksg official production date!

Yes, this will be one to watch. A devastating, fast-handling close quarters SG to be sure, holds 14, 2 3/4" rounds (manually select feed side with lever), pump action, picatinny underrail and top rail with front and back sling loops and a basic sling is included. 6.9 lbs (unloaded), 8.5 lbs (loaded). It would be fun to shoot 7×12 ga slug + 7×12 ga buckshot.

I just got word from a source that the ksg will enter production on this monday on 12 sept

With Sept 12 more than a week behind us can you share any more information on your 'source'. I am not challenging you, I am just desperate for any info I can get on the status of these awsome shotguns!

Is this gun the same as a South African Neostead? The Neostead IIRC, has a slide action which works opposite to a typical pump gun, so the forward stroke ejects the spent round and resets the trigger then the rearward stroke chambers the fresh round. Tell me that wouldn't result in some fumbling.

Nothing like the Neostead.

I have shot the Neostead and handled the KSG. Personally, I think the Neo is a piece of junk. Retailers selling it for over $2k are as crazy as the few whom have actually bought them. They feel cheap, and not very well made.

The only thing these two guns share is the dual mag tube set up. How the KSG does in the long term (reliability wise) is yet to be determined.

I have been watching Vaults forum and asked that he let us know as soon as an FRT # is issued. Until we get an FRT# there will not be any news.

Any word as to pricing? I'm guessing at least $1100 on this side of the border.

I've been on a pre-order list since the day they were announced, but if they come out at over $1100 the $1600 UTS15 will start looking more interesting. At $900, it's KSG all the way for me.
