KSG vs 870? Kewl vs Reliable?

Until you have owned one you just can't say anything about them really. They are very reliable, compact, light and look better than any other shotgun on the market.

I own both. Shoot both. That is the exact reason for this thread. KSG seems like an unreliable toy with far too much room for error.

How does it seem like an unreliable toy? Mine are very reliable. You have one you said is it unreliable? If so why do you still have it? Any why is the KSG a "toy"? It's a shotgun just like the 870. Because its a bullpup? Or is it because it holds a high capacity? It's no different than any other shotgun other than it holds more rounds than your average shotgun.

Do me a favour and leave your 870 outside overnight and see in the morning how close it resembles a pumpkin with all the rust from the cheap finish you get. You won't get that with polymer

10 years to shoot 10000rds?!! My new (to me) 870 Wingmaster will have seen that number come and go by the time August rolls around!

I have had both, 870 all the way. My KSG is a piece o chit. wouldnt hold the advertised 12+1 or whatever it is, jammed all the time, followed buy Kel tecs laughable warranty service. Turfed my KSG and happy I did

Rust on an 870? Sandblast & ceracoat, duracoat or whatever you want and no problem!

I'm not sweating anything lol I love the ksg! So much I bought 2 and I don't regret it one bit! It's my go to hunting gun all day

Had the ksg sold the ksg. Novelty is the word. Nothing like blasting 15 rounds as fast as u can. M4 the way to go
