I have a KTG shotgun (made by Weatherby) that was purchased years ago because of the beautiful feather crotch walnut stock and that funtioned well with any loads I used. Brought it out of the bothballs this year to do some duck hunting and it only cycles 2 shells before it jambs and will not cycle the 3rd shell. The previous or 2nd shell hangs out of the action preventining the 3rd shell to go into the chamber. I am using Winchester steel 2 3/4 shells, the gun is stamped 3" . Do I have to use 3" shells for it to be able to cycle all 3 shells?? I know it's a silly question but am guessing not enough jamb to cycle properly with 2 3/4...

I believe KTG would be the manufacturer not Weatherby. Weatherby had all of it's shotguns rebranded to thier name like SKB was the manufacturers of Weatherby's O/U,s.

As for the malfunctions, also when was the last time it was completely cleaned and relubed?

Hers a pic of receiver, these are only markings on the gun other than serial #..If you know anything about please it let me know.. It is about 30 years old and when purchased I was led to believe it was produced in Weatherby Japan plant??

What you have is a KTG Deluxe shotgun. It was made in Japan by KTG. KTG produced and supplied semi-automatic shotguns to Weatherby to market in North America. If there is no marking of Weatherby on the gun as it appears to be the case, it has nothing to do with Weatherby other than it was made by the same Japanese company that supplied guns to them to their specifications.
It is a very pretty shotgun. Nice wood !
A very quick search brings this

Thanks for the info, was 30 years ago and memory is getting short. Guess I will be stripping it down and doing some cleaning and lubing..
