Kyle Rittenhouse rifle destroyed by Wisconsin State Crime Lab

I guess some people feel a sense of responsibility to more than just themselves.

Plenty of criminal activity and property damage happening right now. Might as well arm up and start patrolling the streets at night, considering your deep sense of responsibility for more than just yourself.

You are a good man Gazelle! I was bullied when young, on account of wearing glasses and being small, so I can relate… No teacher ever did anything. The bullying stopped when in 6th or 7th grade I clocked one of my tormentors square in the jaw with all the strength I had, not the worst fellow unfortunately but I have had enough. Made the poor guy cry. That was the last time I was ever bullied… I only wished I had done so sooner… Things were not better in the late 70s, primary school can be harsh for kids that do not quite fit in… :)

There is a big difference between isolated criminal acts of few individuals and a raging mob of violent sociopaths, whom are hell bent on destruction of anything in their path, be it people or property.

I've got a similar story from grade six.. '97 ish.. richest kid in my rich school (I lived above a store down the street) ..anyway, I had enough of him pushing me down so after the third of forth time I stood up and fractured his cheek bone. If I wasn't 12, I'd still be paying his lawyers. I learned as much as he did - always pulled my punches after that.

KR asked for the rifle to be destroyed. He has stated he wanted this done on several interviews. He is not proud of having had to kill people, he simply felt it necessary to defend himself. A down to earth kid who just wants to move on with his life, while making a few liars pay for their gross misrepresentation of him.

So many armchair commandos here not understanding the situation.

Pretty neat piece of equipment though, gotta admit.

And relax guys, S&W make hundreds of ARs a week, maybe even thousands.

I have no sympathy for those he shot, but it's a dangerous precedent to have untrained 17yo's with rifles patrolling the streets. Like I said previously, the right call from the Jury was made and justice was done, but we shouldn't be using him as an example of a hero. The only thing I do agree with is why destroy the gun other than to put on a BS show?

if that kid is 'untrained' then I wish I could be as untrained and cool during a conflict as he is. I would have been dead, but I also wouldnt have run my fat ass that far to die.
