Kynshot Buffer in a 9mm PCC

well heck. i got the RB5020SS thinking it would be a drop in for the FX9. unfortunatly no. need a longer buffer tube
Kynshot should be a direct replacement for the standard buffer from memory but I changed the buffer tube and added weights at the same time so not 100% sure.

Just thinking out loud, I added two weights @ 0.75" each and went from a 7" buffer to a 8.5" so in theory the Kynshot should have fitted into the standard buffer tube with no issues.
 
He got a RB5020SS, it a bit longer of a buffer

That makes sense, thanks for the info.

Short stroking is something I haven't played with yet but couldn't you achieve the same result by using quarters (or another suitably sized spacer) at the very back of the buffer tube?

And because quarters can be added incrementally they could be tailored to each gun / preference better?
