I recently found this item at our local range. I am very excited about this development and can see how this will revolutionize how we all shoot and the industry in general. I just wish I had been the one to think of this.

Anyways, on with the story ..............

At first, I didn't know what it was. Not a clue. To me it just looked like a couple a 2x6s screwed together.

Till I turned it around and saw the label. A "RIFLE REST". Ingenious, I tell you!

...... but I didn't know how to use it till I found the instructions on the top..... "SAND BAG", with two Xs for location markers. An absolute masterpiece of design and simplicity.

Boys, someday you'll be able to tell your kids you were one of the 1st to see this and it came right straight out of Atlantic Canada. :D

Absolutely amazing  Are you going to start manufacturing those soon? Are you seeking investors? This will turn into a rags to riches story and I can already see you on the cover of Fortune 500 ;) :D

patent

I just checked the patent regestry and it is looking good as it appears nobody has regestered such as unique design or idea. Can you shoot off of it or just balance your rifle for pictures in the EE. more info is needed before i cash in my empties and invest in your new venture...............

The shear simplicity of the design along with the clean classic lines brought a tear of joy to my eye! The cantilevered portion constructed with the beaded paneling was well thought out and should hold the optimal size shooting bag for precision shooting. The offset of the vertical leg from the centre-line of the base will provide additional support from the lateral loading encountered during recoil.

If one criticism may be made I would be so bold as to suggest that the rest be labeled on the front portion of the upright so that the rest is properly oriented to the target as it would be easy for an inexperienced shooter to use the device rotated 180 degrees from the proper position.

"...owners manual on Ebay..." No more firearm stuff on the anti-firearm auction site.
2 x 4 rests were being used in Ontario long ago. Before the only public range near TO was shut down by local municipal politicians. No instructions were required though.

SC, Yer gonna be RICH!!
Here's a little advice however, patent the thing in both wood AND synthetic!
Not that you'd catch me with one, but maybe someeone will want to get into the hi-tech stuff.
If you made the first 1,000 in nice tiiger maple or Bastogne walnut, I'd cerainly by a signatured, numbered piece!:)
100 years from now it will likely be worth something!

Anyone else picture some guy using this with an old sporter enfield with "rifle" in red marker on the stock.
LOL! ......... Yup, I can see that. :D

I was there alone with the dog when I found it. She didn't get the joke, but she DID become quite excited when the 10pt bull moose crossed through the range. I think she was going to try to retrieve it. :p
