L1A1 bipod

Hey all, I own a Lithgow inch pattern FN L1A1. Since I cannot find a C2 upper, or even a complete C2 bipod, does anyone know if a metric pattern "clamp on" type bipod fit on an L1A1 barrel? I recognise it will not match with the handguards when folded, but I am wondering if it will fit properly on the barrel.

I do if it will fit reasonably well on a C1 thickness barrel

It won't. The C2/L2 barrel is considerably.heavier (thicker) than the C1/L1. The mounting ring would be too large. I cant speak to the fit of the metric bipod on an inch-pattern rifle as I've never owned such a bipod. I have owned an FN C2A1 and still own a C1A1....

A metric bipod will not fit on a Commonwealth barrel.

A c2 bipod mounts to the gas block which has a bracket to hold a pin which runs thru the bipod axle if you will.

A falo bipod mounts to the flash hider.

A G1 type bipod might be able to be mounted on the l1a1/c1 front sling swivel cut on the barrel.
