Applied Ballistics tested a bunch of Chronographs and the Shooting Chrony was not bad.

Probably not, that said, with the optimal light source, then yes. I would add that there are two kinds of Chronograph uses, those who have shot them, and those who have yet to shoot them.

I used a Shooting Chrony for about 15 years, and compared it head to head with my Labradar for a handful of range trips when I first got the doppler. The chrony wasn't far off the radar for speeds usually. I had days with the chrony where it wouldn't read the shots correctly, depending on cloud cover or angle of sun
