But unfortunately a lot of that are the flood plains the moose here are making good use of. After they are under water the steep hills and cliffs that remain will make it much more difficult for these moose to make their way to the remaining plateaus that may not be submerged. In either case it's a shame because it is a very beautiful area of the Churchill River.

It may ruin parts of the Churchill river, especially any natural wetlands along the edges, but there are many, many areas of Labrador with water, wetlands, bog, etc. and pure wilderness. The flooded area is within a valley, so this is very contained impact. The upper Churchill flooded an area the size of P.E.I. and probably upset far more creatures. The caribou and moose were not effected by the 1970's massive flooding in the plateau areas, as far as I know. (The upper Churchill flooded area is above the falls, about 440 m above sea level and roughly 200 km from where you were hunting.)

A big challenge in Labrador is how to get to a place. The access by road is limited, and it isn't an area which is opened up by logging roads. I expect the outfitters will find another river in the area to launch the jet boat.
