Lace up/strap on cheek risers?

Hungry recommends the Eagle industries cheek piece...dont know who sells them in Canada but they have dealers for them in the states .

I have a cheek riser almost exactly like the one chalk posted (mines from allan gun works, which i received from Hungry) on my 700 rem. I also have the kydex cheek raiser drilled in on my USGI m14 stock.

Chalk don't you have the Kydex set up on your m14? Or maybe it was the arch angle stock.

The Kydex system I found was easier to adjust and find a proper cheek weld behind optics but the two holes in your stock if you ever decide to remove it is a disappointment. The Strap on Cheek riser took some fiddling around with, but with Hungrys help and some foam matting it is very comfortable and perfectly set up.

Between the two if you have a very high set of optics and the distance from the comb of your stock to where you need your head for proper eye relief. The Kydex is a much easier adjusted system.

If you have a lower set of optics on low rings and don't need to raise it as much. I like the eagle industry's pad as you can take it off the gun when your done or move to an upgraded stock.

+10 for the Eagle Industries one... I have a LH version and it's very good. Nice fit, very comfy, and has some nice neoprene padding. The cartridge holders aren't that useful for me, but it's a slick unit overall. Looking for another one actually for another rifle...

Eagle Industries unavailable :(

Try get some tactical (type all one word in google) they are Canadian and I have been using one of their sniper cheek rests for years, good quality, not too pricey and I had great service.

Different brand but it is more adjustable it seems than the other one you're looking at Otokiak.
I'll probably go with this one personally

I'll probably go with this one personally unless they won't ship to Canada

I've owned that one - it sucks. The pads it comes with (mine came with three different heights) are ALL WAAAAAY too high. I'd need a 76mm objective mounted in super high rings to even need that much rise.

They also sell another one (a few bucks cheaper) that is almost the same as the eagle one, but without the cartridge loops and pocket. Personally, I'd get that one instead.

Eagle Industries made my cheekpieces. I bought 4 of them at the time IIRC and then a shotgun vesion RH from OneShot Tactical. Then Eagle Ind stopped making them a year or so ago. Give Seals Action Gear a shout and see what other brand replaced the Seals Action Gear. My friend who is with the 2VP marksmen brought me up to speed re: buying their cheekpieces from Seals Action gear in Calgary.

Cheers,
Barney

I have a couple of the Allen strap on I use on guns that don't need to much cheek rise, and use the kydex style on the M14 (where you need a cheek ELEVATOR, not just a riser. Its like adding a 2nd story on those guns!).

the allen models were cheap locally, but i have not seen them in shops for a while. They have worked just fine, very adjustable for fit (I added extra foam under for the rise I needed on each gun).

horses for courses, I found i could not get a reliable rise from a strap on on the M14, but maybe thats just me ;)

thats why i used a TNVC on my last M14, gave me a good height..

but ive just ordered one of the Karsten adjustable risers.. kydex type.. awesome piece and amazing service. Ordered literally 5 working days ago from the US and it arrived here at work today.. and i chose the cheapest shipping option!
