Any one else getting sick of all these bullets on back order:mad: I think Ive been waiting all winter now for some heavier gr 223 hunting bullets to come around

I've been waiting for small pistol primers, and .38/.357 bullets for what seems like forever! I have lots of brass and powder just not the other two extremely important parts!! The next time I see some I'll have to max out the credit card!!

Sick and tired and not a damn thing you can do about it.

This has been talked about for 2 years or more, if you failed to see this coming your in a great big pickle, if you took a more proactive approach your likely not shooting as much, but at least your still shooting.

They say that you should have enough supplies on hand for two years of shooting. Unfortunately it's easier said than done, especially when you shoot different calibers. I have been on several American talk boards and it seams that there is starting to be a surplus of primers. Hopefully some of that stock will find it's way up here.

Where is it that you can't find primers? Or is it you can't find them for $35.00 per thousand?
If you are holding off buying them because they are too expensive, I don't see them coming down in price any time soon.
There has got to be 50 thousand Win LR at P&D in Edmonton. FS

Yep.....my trip to Ottawa today was for naught (for reloading stuff anyway)....Lebaron's = no 4895, no Varget, no 3031 and no CCI LR primers....although some of you on here wouldn't take that as a huge surprise, myself included.....my next trip will include an extra hour drive to Hawksbury and Higginson's....;)

I go to WSS in Saskatoon once very 2 months or so. They never have primers or powder. There's gun shop in Prince Albert...same results :(

I live 5 hours North of Saskatoon so I can't just drop in all the time to check and see if they're stocked.

Stopped by the north Edmonton WSS store today to pick up a smoker heating element. Just for kicks I went back to the gun counter to ask. No large rifle or large magnum rifle primers at all. They did have some large pistol, but that was it for large anything primers. He said they had some small something or other, but I can't remember if it was rifle or pistol. Thank God I stocked up before the prices went too nuts.

I just purchased 3000 Federal 205M primers today for my new .223.The price has gone up,but they are available.

TNT Gunworks In Regina usually has a good inventory of primers an bullets. They ration their primers, and you will pay for them, but they usually have them. Its worth a try. hope this helps.

But With Obama in the states, Americans will be hording until he's out. so it may be some time before a real good supply is back in circulation.

It's weird, I read these types of threads every week yet i've never had any trouble finding everything I need. What I can't find in Ottawa/Montreal (which isn't much), I get on-line from one of our wonderful sponsors.

I've got tons of primers of every kind, sure they increased 50% from $24 when I started reloading to 'bout $36 today, but they're around.

Maybe it's my experience as a rare record collector that gives me an edge with regard to component hunting?

best thing i found is to place order at labaron and waith for call,it take 2 to 3 weeks to get a call back for your stock. for large batsh of primer just afto place a order for and your one for wife thas how i get mi stock pile of primer

bang! bang!

I do not think that WHSS is stocking primers of any type anymore. Can not find them listed in their catalog nor on their website. I could be wrong. Was looking for number 11 musket black powder primers and cant find them for sure at WHS.
