Does anyone know if you can get a Smith & Wesson Lady Smith in a non-prohib barrel length? I'd love to suprise my wife with one, since she's mad at me for selling my 686 that she used all the time with my 38 Special hand loads. I sold the 686 to by a model 27, Jeese I just love those N frames.

S&W is making a 5" SS Model 60. 'J' frame size grip on a 'K' frame. Likely be a special order, but at least there's one being made. MSRP $704US.

That 5" model 60 Smith has got to be the ugliest gun I have ever seen. Why can't we all be 12(6) so that we don't have to look at these goddammed abominations?!? And the barrels sticking out of the smaller autos?!? They're not going to be happy until I've vomited on myself.

Do yourself a favour: let wifey pick, after you've narrowed down what she CAN have, ie., what's not prohibited.

Model 36 = Blued carbon steel

Model 60 = Stainless Steel

Otherwise, same gun....
