Lake Field Mossberg Mark II question

I managed to acquire a Lakefield Mossberg Mark II repeater 22 CAL L.R., which doesn't even have a serial number, just a FIN sticker. It is without a magazine though.

Reading around the internet, it appears to be similar to a Savage Arms MK II series. Does anyone here know if they are the same firearm, and would be able to use new savage mags in this thing?

The Mark II uses the same mags as the modern savage. I have a couple mark IIs and use a few mags They can be bought direct from Savage Arms.
