Picked up a lakefield mossberg MK III auto loader for $22.50. Really good shape after the surface rust was scrubbed off. Accurate and reliably ejected 10 or so hand fed cartridges. No mag. Is anyone carrying new mags? Is there another make that will fit? This is my first .22 lr.

Savage MKII magazines made new today. There was a Lakefield MkII (bolt action still produced by Savage) and the magazines are the same.

Few variations of MkIII out there. Can you remove a plug on the back of your receiver(Mossberg style), or is your receiver solid backed (Cooey 64 style)? Won't matter regarding your magazine, I'm just nosey. Had a couple pass through here.

Some were stamped as Lakefield-Mossberg, some just Lakefield. Stocks changed a bit too. The fold down forestock is def of a Mossberg influence. Not certain if it was to be used as "tactical" foregrip, flip down monopod, or just some idea of what was "cool" in the day.

Cycling by hand will only be so much fun. Get that gem to a range!

The magazines I have that I posted are the ones you need. The small one in the pic is a factory 7 shot mag from a Lakefield Mark 2.
