Hello all, I've turned my attention back to the Lakefield 64 I got from my dad, it was his 16th b'day gift. It isn't a 64b, and it has the wire extractor. The issue is that every single mag has at least one FTE, it tries to load the next round before the last one clears the action. When I first got it, it had the same issues, I cleaned 40 years of gunk out of it, ran it wet, ran it dry, tried different ammo. I finally ordered the kit to replace the old style plastic mag, then tried all the same things. The ejector spring appears ok (wire style), but I suspect the extractor spring (wire type) may be worn. I recently found out, although it was finicky, it was used A LOT for rabbits in southern On. during the old man's teen years, and maybe it has some wear. Any one have a good pic of the extractor spring in good condition, or perhaps a trick I haven't tried yet?
Thanks,
Jeremy
