Just recently purchased some surplus shewters and this be one of them.
The bolt will on occasion like to slip out when chambering in a round.
Haven't run into this before.
Bit of a newscents when shewt'in feathers and some 'sitemint'appen'in.

No, gunteck, nawt gonna bring it into ahhh gunsmith.

Need some eye-deers as it seems to be sumwhut blessed.
It tizz ah repeater with a ten shawt detachibble maguhzeen.

Has the sear been stoned or filed?
IIRC the front of the sear holds the bolt in, pulling the trigger back when moving the bolt to the rear will release it.

Have you tried de-gunking it first?

I will get it apart and see what is going on in there.
I figured it was the sear holding it in.
Bolt is stiff when closing on a round.
There are a couple of fingers in there, one being the ejector on the left.
Another on the right and thinking maybe this is pushing the bolt up and
away from the sear causing my dilemma.

Thanks gr100.

I played with it yesterday and found the cocking piece detent was very shallow.
Pull the bolt out of the receiver and the thing did the twist movement.
Took the bolt apart and depended the notch.
Not sure what happened, but the bolt cannot be pulled from the receiver now
without pulling the trigger.

And the bolt now slides nicely, even on it's own by raising and lowering the bawrill.

Magic...………………………..:dancingbanana:
