Need to disassemble and clean this .22. Spent its life in a lean-to shed till i got it. Cycles very poorly, and lots of soft to no hammer strikes. There may be other issues, but i`d like to get the gunk i can see and the guaranteed gunk that is inside out of it and go from there.
It seems to be a sealed unit that the barrel would have to be removed from in order to remove the internals.
Anyone have any experience with this model?

Just finished cleaning up one of these. Broken firing pin, receiver barrel stud threads stripped, missing the ejector and full of crud. Also magazine retention / wear problem. Remove stock screw and pull action out of stock then screw out the barrel retention stud ( do not lose the barrel/ receiver retainer in the carpet ). Put the bolt in the ultrasonic bath and then modified a Cooey 64 firing pin to fit. All replacement parts were sourced at the LGS !!! Function tested with M22, Win Wildcat bulk and Aguila and all worked well. Then a friend who did warranty work for Lakefield back in the day told me that when one of these came in for repair he handed over a new Cooey Lakefield 64 and shipped the piece of garbage back to the factory!

I`ll have a look when i get a chance. I paid $22.50 for it, but my son likes it. Quite frustrating when it doesn’t load, extract etc

IMHO you paid to much for it.

It should actually be OK if it has one of the later "metal" magazines. They're cast from pot metal but seem to last a lot longer and function better than the original plastic magazines.
