Lakefield/Mossberg 400g - Tatical forend

I just picked up my first shotgun: a Lakefield 400g. I believe it is quite similar to the Mossberg 500a.

One thing that is different is that the forend stock could not come off without removing the magazine tube. There are some metal rings around the magazine tube that keep it from sliding off the front end of the magazine tube.

I am wondering if I'll have any issues with a stock like this?

You must have a newer model. My 400 is removable. You could try replacing the action bars with that of an older 400 or a 500.
