Lakefield question...

The barrel is marked "Lakefield-Mossberg"? Is it still a Canadian rifle?

There is no serial number that I can readily see either. It's a MKII.

The Lakefield - Mossberg is a Canadian made rifle. No longer made in Canada. Pre 68 the serial numbers were not necessary. i have the Mark I single shot and also the repeater Mark II and Mark III semi auto, Great varmint guns.
