Hi, I recently ended up with a Lakefield Mk3 which is literally the same thing as the cooey 64 and the savage.
I had the same trigger problem with my cooey 64 but it was caused by a broken spring. Now, the trigger group from the Lakefield is in good shape but still either doesn't #### or fires even on safe. They're cheap guns so either there's a home fix i could do if not in the lake it goes.

Looks like someone has previously crammed a screwdriver out of the left screw in the photo. Wouldn’t be surprised if they did a bit too much work on the trigger or the sear.

Do a bit of research on the MKs, there may be a way to compensate for 'too much' work on the sear/trigger. Savageshooters .com has specific thread-markers for each type of rifle. And the 64 is totally different trigger group and MCarbo makes repl parts which help it greatly.
