On some CSA rifles the metal side step is bit shorter then the mount will not latch tight
would the cheaper allen key bolt version work on those CSAs, or would it have a problem on those too?

Contact Bfiles. Thatz why you see posts of his wood from time to time. Given the right price he might give you his wood tobfiles, or anyone else, where might I get such laminate wood worthy of a nice set of stocks?
It is gorgeous, however still missing a crucial bit of ak-ness. The long gas piston tube and the rod under the barel.... If someone with a bit of know how/machine skills were to get creative and make some type of barrel clamp "faux" gas port further towards the muzzle and have it stem over from the real gas port it would create the long piston tube look, kinda like an extension. Then the faux rod under the barrel could be supported by the bayonet mount at the muzzle end and again at the dummy clamp/gas port, and run the full length under the barrel, ending at the lower handguard plate. Would be a bit of work but a pretty sweet project and would really complete the look. Put a slant short muzzle brake on it and it would look pretty much just like an akm.
So where did you get that funky safety from?
