Landsborough Auctions Using deceptive AI images

I noticed that. Why would anything other than actual photos be used?
The closeup of the scope markings showed a Mk. III scope dated 1939 with a different Mfr. than in the text.

it's up to the buyer to deterrence authentic pieces if you don't think it's correct then don't bid
or ask for pictures sent to you
And when they send AI pictures?...

This feels shady AF. I wonder if they could be sued for false advertising or something over this if a customer bought a gun that was clearly misrepresented by AI pics...

Here are a variety of them from the 5 minutes I spent browsing.
90% of the pictures of markings have been altered.

I'm definitely not buying anything

I noticed that too. I have never seen so many firearms with such perfectly crisp, clean, and legible markings. This is particularly egregious, as the marking seems to have been added to, not simply enhanced. This is the Marlin Model 28, btw. I searched what I could, and they don't remotely match any other one I could find.

What suggests that the marking have been altered?
Have you ever looked at a firearm? Have you ever seen markings that are perfectly formed and crisp, with no evidence of stamping deformation, rust, wear, grime, or anything else? Also not suggesting the markings themselves have been altered, but rather an AI has cleaned and dramatically enhanced them.
