Lapua 7mm Rem mag brass?

To be honest, that's been my experience as well. Once I shot and prepped the Hornady it held up pretty well. I find I can abuse the Lapua stuff more though as I'm too lazy to anneal and I sometimes load 'em hot.

Yup, that's my approach as well. Not too lazy to anneal though, I just don't think it is worth it when I can get a minimum of 20 reloads out of a Hornady 6.5CM or .308 Win case. Primer pocket loosening is usually why they end up being culled. I run PRVI for 300WM and .223 right now which appears to be great brass as well. I have a good amount of Lapua brass in 223, 6.5 and 308 waiting their turn. From the results I am getting with the PRVI I can suggest that the OP try PRVI in 7mmRM.

With Win and Rem backing off from component brass, Hrn is stepping in ... both in QC and volume. Then they are dropping their pricing substantially to gobble up market share.

The stuff I am currently using has been very well made and durable wrt SAAMI type pressures.

For those looking to go past "10", Peterson is making belted magnum brass (backordered due to demand) and is proving to be very durable.

Let me know Thanks

Jerry

Not all of it

That's why I said "mostly"...
All the Weatherby brass I purchased is, the 7mm Rem I got is as well, easy to tell by the flash holes (drilled) and weights compared to Norma brass.
In short action common cartridges who knows what you get...but I'd say if they are under $90/50 you are probably getting something other then Norma.

Lapua .300 Win Mag ammo used outsourced cartridge cases, I believe by DWM. The 7mm Rem cases branded by Lapua years ago was outsourced as well.

Best regards,

Peter

Crap! I wonder why Lapua didn't make belted brass? You'd think it'd be a huge market with all the long range 300 WM guys.

I know Hornady isn't the best but I got a couple boxes as part of a trade and figured I may as well shoot through them.

You guys have opinions on Norma vs Nosler for quality and consistency?

NORMA ! jmo RJ

IMO Hornady Brass in the 7mm Rem mag (if using factory
Loaded) is just as good as Nosler or Norma

I started my 7mm learning with 100 factory Hornady rounds. I personally diddnt have them
Fail, bought other expensive brass because it was supposed to be better. It wasn’t, just more
Money.

Tried all types I could get my hands on, the Hornady and Norma were the best IMO

Don’t know why but the nosler was the worst of all, The necks got so
Hard my dies would not properly re size and hold the bullet on the 3rd
Firing.
